Green Smoothies

Green smoothies are a great way to replace your lunch or dinner or if you are feeling you need an extra boost midday, go ahead and have a green smoothie.

Mint, cinnamon, and ginger are great smoothie enhancers.

A green smoothie is 1 part green vegetable (Lettuce, spinach, chard, bok choy greens, etc) 1 part liquid (coconut water, or water,) and 2 parts fruit.  As your palate becomes more familiar with the green smoothies, go with less fruit and more greens for  total cleanse.

Here are a few of our favorite smoothies

  • 1 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1 cup spinach

Combine all the ingredients with the liquid in the bottom of the blender and blend until sooth.

 

  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup baby kale
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple
  • ½ cup strawberries
  • 1 whole apple
  • 1 whole lemon with peel

Combine all the ingredients with the liquid in the bottom of the blender and blend until sooth.
